As of April 6th your Xbox 360 will boast of the ability to use USB flash drives so that you can store game saves and other different contents like game demos etc. So, your Xbox will be expanding its boundaries once you start using this upgrade from Microsoft. Once you are done installing the driver then the system will perform small security check (which Microsoft loves to do all the time). After the security check you can configure the storage limit of your device which can be 16 GB max. Ain’t that huge but it surely is an add – on!

Microsoft suggests using flash based drives instead of hard drives as performance on flash based drives is way too better when compared to spinning media. Another hidden advantage is that one can configure two different devices simultaneously thus making the max usage limit touch 32 GB. Now this looks promising!

By May Microsoft will be releasing pre – configured USB flash drives manufactured by SanDisk in partnership with Microsoft itself. They will have all that you need for your Xbox so all that you got to do is plug in.
