Update to enable USB flash drives to be used to store profiles, game saves, demos and more.

Microsoft - via Major Nelson - has announced that April 6 will see the release of an Xbox 360 system update enabling the use of USB flash drives for storing profiles, game saves, demos and more.

you can Easily Download the update here

Once the system update is installed you'll be able to connect your USB flash drives to your console and head over to the memory section to configure your new storage device.

The maximum usable storage of any device will be 16GB, with any remaining space accessible by a PC or Mac. USB Hard drives may also work, but like flash memory, you'll only be able to use up to 16GB of space. However, Major Nelson recommends the use of flash based USB storage as performance is usually better.

Microsoft has also enhanced the console's memory management functions, giving Xbox 360 users better control on what they want to copy or move between storage devices.
